It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Tanya G. Olson who departed this life on October 1, 2025. Tanya was born on August 13, 1956. She lived on farms near Westport and Frederick until she moved with her parents to Aberdeen in 1965.
She moved to Colorado and worked for Laidlaw for several years. She later used her artistic talents to create decorations for malls and businesses. She was commissioned to do some paintings. Her passion was to build and paint birdhouses. She also followed in her Mother's footsteps and crocheted wash clothes and scrubbers. Those were some favorite gifts.
Tanya enjoyed business including sales. She worked for some large companies but favored startups like Midwest Sports. She would build the customer base and develop the skills of younger employees.
Her best friend was her dog Kyzer. Kyzer was a rescue and he rescued Tanya.
Tanya is survived by her brother, Charles M. Olson; many cousins; and friends and business associates.
Tanya was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin B. and Estella C. Olson; her brothers, Larry R. and Sam C. Olson.
