Tanya Anne "Memaw" Wilcox Murphy

Tanya Anne Wilcox "Memaw" Murphy, 64, of Newbern, Tennessee, died on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at her residence in Newbern, Tennessee.
Born Sunday, January 5, 1958, in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late James Wilcox and the late Betty Eugenia Tullock Wilcox. She was the eldest of three children. Ms. Murphy was a retired employee of the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 10,2022 at Security Bank in Newbern, Tennessee.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughters, Gina Hudkins (Will) of Newbern, Tennessee; two chosen daughters, Tabatha Murphy Hammond (Carl) of Union City, Tennessee and Amy King (Tim) of Newbern, Tennessee; one chosen son, Drew Murphy (Frances) of Boca Raton, Florida; one brother, Jeffrey Wilcox (Cindy) of Connellsville, Pennsylvania; she was "Memaw" to her three grandchildren, Ashton Shannon, Peyton Shannon and Anne Marie Hudkins all of Newbern, Tennessee; one chosen grandson, Kobe King of Newbern, Tennessee and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles who loved her dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Sheila Stegall.
