Tara Kathleen Dougherty

Tara Kathleen Dougherty went to her divine eternity on April 23, 2023. Tara was the daughter of Mike Dougherty and Debby (Fucci) Dougherty.
She was born July 23rd, 1980, in Erie. She was the loving mother of Elliot Hermann and proud sister of Casey Dougherty. Tara had a keen sense of family and was proud to be a part of her large extended family. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Tom and Carmella Fucci and her paternal grandparents, Bud and Claire Dougherty and uncles Tim Dougherty and John Fucci.
Tara graduated from McDowell High School in 1998 and attended Point Park University in Pittsburgh. She was a talented singer, dancer, and theater arts performer. She appeared in local productions of many community presentations including a leading role in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Tara was extremely talented physically and was successful at any sport she put her mind to. While Tara suffered with her own demons, she never failed to show every person she came into contact with acceptance and grace. Her generous spirit will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Tara held various positions in retail sales, business to business sales, and as a paralegal. Her love for her son, Elliot and her dedication to him were unquestioned and constant in her life.
Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Home & Crematory, 1595 West 38th St., on Friday from 1 until the time of a service at 5 P.M. with Fr. Michael DeMartinis officiating.
Private interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The family requests prayers be offered on behalf of Tara's soul.
