TARA MORAN

MORAN--Tara M., died on January 4, 2026, at the age of 71, surrounded by her family. She was an organ donor and, at the time of her death, helped save three lives. Tara was born on September 8, 1954, in Rockaway Beach, Queens, the eldest of four children of Peter and Betty Moran. The Morans settled in Old Greenwich, Connecticut. Tara loved living by the sea; it was central to her life, though New York City, particularly the West Village, remained her spiritual home. Ms. Moran built a 40 year career in the fashion industry, highlighted by nearly a decade serving as Director of USA Operations for Fiorucci during the company's cultural peak. A champion of health and fitness, Tara remained committed to mind body practices throughout her life. Known for her warmth, generosity, and humor, she was a mentor to many and deeply valued her relationships. She is survived by her children, Haley Wollens and Beau Wollens, who were her pride and joy; her former husband, Jamie Wollens; her siblings; her grandson, Shel; and numerous relatives and friends.
