Tara Crawford Roth joined her family on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2026, after a final date with her husband, Brett. Tara was born in New York City, September 16, 1955, the daughter of a post-WW2 English sailor and a Sicilian American seamstress. Movies have been made about these kinds of marriages. Tara and her sister, Pamela, spent their early years in Queens.
With an Associate's Degree from Queens Community College, Tara moved to Boston and enrolled at Northeastern. After a short career in banking, Tara married Fred Weibe, a marriage that lasted until she moved to
Butte, MT. Divorced, out of work, and staring in local theater productions, Tara met the love of her life, Brett Roth. Tara and Brett were married March 11, 1983 which is 44 days short of 43 years, but they lived in sin (much to the many Butte Catholic's concern) for two years prior to being married. New York City girl lassos Butte Bad Boy - - there are many legends surrounding the night of their nuptials, and they are all true.
After leaving Butte, Tara rose through the ranks of several manufacturing companies, and she retired from corporate America as senior vice president of human resources for the Cooley Group. With a background in human resources, Tara began the next chapter of her life as a coach and mentor. While in Denver, Tara acted for several years in Comedy Sports, an improv comedy group that performed in area bars and entertainment venues. Tara had many hours on stage, and she performed in the Vagina Monologues (with cane) just over a year ago. Tara loved theater and music, and she had a voice that never went unheard. Tara is preceded in death by her parents, Fran and Terry, her sister, Pamela, and brother-in-law, Richard Reed. She is survived by her husband, Brett, cousin, Richard Hiramzian, Florida, and cousin, Tony Crawford, England.
