Tariq Bashir was born in Albuquerque, NM on April 4th, 1973 to proud parents Fadil and Sakeenah Bashir. He was one of seven children, and grew up in a loving household. Upon graduating from Del Norte High School in 1992, Tariq would take a short break before attending college at Central New Mexico Community College graduating in 2014 with his Associates of Applied Science in Integrated Studies. Tariq enjoyed dancing, playing basketball, he loved practicing and doing Kung Fu. He enjoyed running track in his youth. Tariq was very competitive and always aimed to win. Tariq loved spending time with family and friends playing games like Spades, dominoes, or just sitting and having quality time, long conversations and debates. He loved family gatherings that would bring everyone together that would cause him to go down memory lane and reflect on the good old times. Tariq loved healthy foods and was big on trying to take care of his body and his health. Tariq loved to be a student, always trying to learn and grasp new things and new ideas so he can teach others what he learned. He kept up with technology and things that would be happening in the future. Tariq would teach himself and keep company with friends and family that shared his same passion and desire for the future of things to come. This caused him to be an entrepreneur and launch his own business and have a small group of customers that would invest in his streaming company. He would rebuild computers, read and research history and religion. Tariq had a passion to grow and learn things that not only make sense but made him money as well. Tariq enjoyed learning and teaching others about stocks, bonds, Bitcoin/Crypto and the importance of saving money. He enjoyed cars and collecting cars, antiques, art, collecting coins, he loved dressing, shoes, and cologne. Most of all he loved his family and loved his mother with is whole heart. He depended on his mother and was extremely grateful for her and the time she spent caring for him. Tariq loved his dogs Gizmo, Simba, Coby, Precious, Gigi and Malani so much. He called his dogs his fur babies/kids. Tariq’s favorite football team was the 49ers, favorite basketball team Boston Celtics. Tariq will always be missed, and the memories of his time on this Earth will be treasured by all who knew and loved him. Tariq is survived by mother, Sakeenah Bashir; brothers, Sultan (Laura), Ephraim, and Seifullah (Courtney); sister, Fadeelah Bashir; nieces and nephews, Anilah, Tyisha, T’shara, Jacoby, Rashaun, Danique, Jareese, Uziah, Levi, Jareese, Darian, Lashaun, Teasi, Aja, Yamina; two great nieces six great nephews and numerous extended family including aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Fadil Bashir; brothers, Karim and Cecil R. Williams, III; great niece Briella Bashir, grandparents, Lillie Mae Coleman Davis and Bennie Coleman, Cecil Williams and Edna Williams; as well as a host of aunts and uncles.
