Taryn Marie Stubbs

Taryn Marie Stubbs, 43, of Durango, CO., passed away on February 12, 2026. She was born January 11, 1983 in Grants, NM. to Steven and Sarah Stubbs. 

Taryn graduated from Farmington High School in 2001. She set off on her new great adventure to reside in Oregon; where she obtained her certification in massage therapy. Alongside of being a massage therapist she worked at Mount Hood as a snowboarding instructor. As time passed, Taryn eventually came home to New Mexico where she continued her practice in massage therapy and personal training. Taryn, always looking for a new adventure set out on another exciting adventure in El Paso, TX. This is where she found her love for aesthetics and successfully graduated at the top of her class. Taryn loved the mountains, camping, snowboarding, hiking, weight lifting, health and wellness, uplifting others, but most of all her faith in God. She could sing! Her voice echoed with grace and mercy. She enjoyed her time being in the choir, Acts of the Apostles Music Mini at St. Joseph's, El Paso, Texas. She will be greatly missed and loved beyond measure.

Taryn was preceded in death by her grandparents Papa Joe Stubbs, Nana Faye Stubbs, Nana Darlin (Bobbetta Griego). She is survived by her parents Steven and Sarah Stubbs; brother Brennan Stubbs; grandparent Papa Darlin (Pat Griego); her nephews Gabriel Sullivan, Joshua Stubbs and wife, Stetson Stubbs, and Zayne Stubbs; Numerous cherished Cousins, aunts and uncles.

There will be a Rosary at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Farmington, followed by mass at 11:00 am. Taryn will be interred at St. Mary's Columbarium after the services. 

In Lieu of flowers the family would like you to make a donation to the Humane Society in Durango or your local Catholic Charities, in Taryn's name.
