Mrs. Tasha Denise Lige-Beale known to family & friends as (Gee-Gee) was born at Saint Michael's Hospital of Newark N.J on June 25, 1978, to Otis Robert Lige and Linda Ann Sheard. She was the youngest of 3.

She attended Alexander Street Elementary School, graduated from Barringer Prep, and Barringer High School of Newark NJ in 1998.

Tasha departed this life on Friday July 25, 2025 at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.

Tasha's life was filled with cherished moments, deep connections, and a spirit that touched many lives. Her everlasting and unconditional love will be forever imprinted on the hearts of those she cherished;

Tasha treasured her role as a mother and grandmother – to know her was to love her; Tasha was in sure a fire cracker whom always spoke her mind, just ask Kisha (sister), she also enjoyed and cherished family gathering, partying, running track, dancing, shopping, traveling, and taking pictures…You better always get her good side too…especially if her outfit was on point! She did not play…LOL Everyone knew and loved Gee-Gee.

Tasha witnessed various triumphs and encountered numerous challenges. She navigated through these experiences with unwavering resilience, never losing sight of the value instilled in her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her.

She was a woman of grace, compassion, and unwavering strength. Tasha's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her, throughout her life. Nothing will ever be the same again without her, but not to worry – She'll forever have a place in our heart.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Johnny McCoy and Doris Ann Flythe of Newark N.J. Tom and Louise Lige of West Virginia, and 4 uncles and 4 aunts.

Tasha is survived by her parents Otis Robert Lige and Linda Ann Sheard, husband Broderick Beale, two daughters, Takeeda Jahfeeah Lige of Scranton, PA, Ies'Mira Lige of Portsmouth, VA, one son, Thomas Deon Black of Franklin, VA; 2 grandsons, Jalyn Wadud and Ny'Ceir Robert Lige; one brother, Tony Allen Davis of Franklin, VA, one sister Hikisha Takeeda Lige of Newark N.J; 1 niece, Violet Freeman of Newark NJ, 2 nephews, Alvin Jones of Newark N.J and Anthony Adonis Davis, of Franklin VA; 2 great-niece, Jamiyah Freeman, Iyanna Ann Henson, one great-nephew, Ja'Sai Harris. Host of 7 aunts, 3 uncles, and cousins. Two specials people that were dear to her heart and she valued as a brother Keith Brown and nephew Brevon Brown.
