Tatum Clifford Bittle

Tatum Clifford Bittle, age 87, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away on December 7, 2025 in Searcy, Arkansas. Born on September 14, 1938 in Heber Springs, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Joseph and Edith Brewer Bittle.
Tatum was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard. He had been employed with the Army Corps of Engineers, retiring after 32 years of service, he had been a member of the Heber Springs City Council for 25 years, a member of the Civil Service Commission and a member of the Sugar Loaf Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Margaret Tackett Bittle, his siblings Josephine (Wesley) Hipp, Susan (Harwell) Brown, Mary (Major) Stark, Clyde (Wanelle) Bittle, Ada (Troy) Raney, and Kennedy (Glenda) Bittle.
He is survived by his children Cindy (Fred) Perry, Becky (Frank) Hickmon, Dale (Jordan) Bittle, and Vicki (Jarrod) Main, his grandchildren Barry Hickmon, Melanie Roper, Stacy Erber, Shawn Perry, Tatum "Logan" Presley, Rhea Ann Bittle, Lauren Presley, Grier Bittle, and Gemma Bittle, great-grandchildren Katie Wilson, Seanna Hickmon, Madilynn Hickmon, Everleigh Roper, Charlotte Hickmon, and Cason Perry, and his great-great-grandchildren Makya Wilson, River Wilson, and Hayes Hickmon. Mr. Bittle is also survived by his other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at the Sugar Loaf Baptist Church with Bro. Tony Criswell officiating. Interment will be in Shiloh Crossroads Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Sugarloaf Baptist Hope Fund, Waychoff Senior Center, Cleburne County Historical Society, Cleburne County Library, or the charity of your choice.
