Taylor Lee Blanton, 30, of Woodbury passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his beloved family. Born in Murfreesboro, TN, he is the son of Gary and Lisa Taylor Blanton of Woodbury.
In addition to his devoted parents, he is also survived by his beloved golden retriever and best friend, Bertie Mae; grandmothers, Joyce Taylor and Imogene Blanton; aunts and uncles, Alan Taylor, Ronald Blanton, Terry Blanton and Sandra Jones; great aunts and uncles, Aunt Eileen, Aunt Karen & Uncle Billy,Aunt Jo, Uncle Jim, and Aunt Dottie, whom he affectionately called 'Nana and Granddaddy'; best friends and special cousins, Katie Seng, Tab King, and P.J. Barker, Hannah and Hendrix Taylor. Also surviving are numerous cousins, friends and the members of "We Fight For Taylor" community.
He was preceded in death by his big sister, Hannah Blanton, grandfathers, Jimmy Taylor and Bobby Joe Blanton, aunt Leigh Ann, and aunt Vera, uncle David and uncle Jeff.
Taylor was a devoted member of Sycamore Baptist Church and a compassionate registered nurse at Murfreesboro Medical Clinic and SurgiCenter. He was a former RN at St. Thomas Rutherford and the Cardiac ICU at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was known for his heart and for helping others. His unwavering faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of his life, and through every trial, he showed incredible strength, never giving up. Taylor was a joy to our lives in every way, and his presence was a blessing to all who knew him.
Taylor enjoyed blogging, Friday Nacho nights, Jeep rides with Bertie, relaxing and boating on Center Hill Lake, cheering on the UT Vols and spending time with the people he loved the most.
His favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 40:31 "but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
His family will receive friends Sunday, June 15, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Woodbury Funeral Home and Monday, June 16, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Woodbury Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 16, 2025 at Woodbury Church of Christ with Jim Jones and Aunt Jo officiating. Interment will follow at Taylor Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Colin Jones, Josh Seng, Austin Taylor, Trent Vickers, Alex Davenport, Jeffery Northcutt, Josh Cossey, Grant Holt and Alan Paschal. Honorary pallbearers, Katie Seng, Candice Bailey, Katelyn Caldwell, Taylor Jones, Dylan and Katie Miller, Trevor Jones, Joanna Condren, Anaston Holt, Carly Gannon, Addison Patten, Marna Jo Higgins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Taylor Cemetery or The Taylor Blanton Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Woodbury Funeral Home.
