Obituary For Taylor Dawn Lashley Donihoo Davis

A funeral service for Taylor Dawn Lashley Donihoo Davis, 32, of Whitewright, Texas, will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the Dannel Funeral Home Chapel in Sherman. Pastor Jody Shires of Sunnyside Baptist Church in Denison will officiate. The family will greet friends after the service. Taylor passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2025.

Taylor was born on May 7, 1993, in Sherman to Jeremy and Misty Lashley. She was raised in Tom Bean and went to Tom Bean Schools. Her father, Jeremy passed away, December 28, 1996, and she was adopted by her aunt and uncle, Rick and Laura Lashley. Taylor was deeply loved and cared for by her family, including her three brothers, Brian, Paul, and Ronnie, as well as her extended family, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. She became a CNA and was working towards becoming a substance abuse counselor.

Taylor was a bright light and had a very strong personality. She lived life to the fullest. She loved her three children, Ari'ana, Memphis, and Eleanor, and she loved her daddy, Rick and she loved her mom, Laura. She loved music and her favorite band was Sleep Token. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

Taylor was preceded in death by her father, Jeremy Lashley and her mother Misty Rupe Lashley, great grandparents, Helen and Vernon Lashley, uncles Mike and Glen Lashley, grandmother, Debbie Rupe, and uncle Chuck Colvin. She is survived by her husband Eddie Davis, children: Ari'ana Robinson, Memphis Donihoo, and Eleanor Donihoo; step daughter, Hailey Davis; parents, Rick and Laura Lashley; grandparents, Ed and Pam Colvin; brothers, Brian and Sheila Lashley, Paul Lashley, Ronnie and Summer Lashley; aunts, Jennell Skipworth, and Donna Godbey; uncle, Donald Lashley; many cousins and extended family.
