With deep sadness, we announce the far too early passing of Taylor Douglas Edwards. We are committed as a family, today and always, to being fully transparent about the painstaking fight Taylor put up against his mental illness. This unexpected loss has left a giant scar on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
Taylor was born on September 30th, 1982, and passed away on February 5, 2026. As a young boy, Taylor was a soft-spoken peacemaker. As he grew up, this never changed, putting others before himself, without exception. Taylor's generous heart gave him an uncanny ability to know exactly what the people around him needed-most often a deep belly laugh sparked by one of his stories, of course told in a way only he could. Through his humor and warmth, he made everyone he met-young or old, family or stranger-feel seen, understood, and at ease. He was the glue.
As Taylor grew up, he lived life with passion and purpose. He loved to hunt, fish, golf, and race both road and mountain bikes. No matter what he pursued, he had an incredible ability to fully dedicate himself and reach remarkable levels of success. As a golfer, Taylor competed at a high level as a collegiate athlete at Southern Utah University. In cycling, his commitment and drive carried him to an elite level of racing. Taylor was the #1 amateur cyclist in the state of Utah for two years. He never shared this with anyone but his wife. In his career, Taylor worked tirelessly as the ultimate professional, leading to countless authentic relationships with his colleagues at Dunkin Lewis, creating a circle of friends that felt far more like family. These achievements reflect not only his athletic talent, but his discipline, determination, and love for the pursuit.
Taylor married his beloved wife, Erin Edwards, in July of 2006. He and Erin went on to have two beautiful daughters Avery and Kendall, who were the light of his life. He is also survived and lovingly remembered by his parents, David and Tiffany Edwards; brothers, Preston Edwards and his wife Abbey, Mitchell Edwards and his wife Jenna; sister, Destri Cuartas and her husband Mario; parents-in-law, Lois and Brad Fisher; sisters-in-law, Erika Coleman and her husband Steve, Emilee Donaldson and her husband Dan; and his brother in law Andrew Fisher and his wife, Janessa, as well as several cherished nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, who loved him deeply.
Above all else, Taylor will be remembered for the joy he brought into every space and the way he made people feel-happier, lighter, and looking forward to the next time they got to see him or just hear his voice.
Taylor, you will always be with us-in every laugh, every story, and every moment of joy you gave so freely.
