Corey Arland Beckstead

Corey Arland Beckstead, a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, returned to his heavenly father on February 11, 2026.

Born on October 19, 1960, in Murray, Utah, to Gail Arland Beckstead and Anita Ramseyer Beckstead. Corey married Tamara Lou Hecking on August 4, 1979, with whom he had a son and a daughter. Later in life he was blessed with two more daughters. Corey's determination and perseverance led him to graduate and attend a trade school for ironworking; later, he joined the ironworkers union until his unfortunate accident in 1982. Playing the drums was his passion, he enjoyed playing in several bands. His love for music was contagious, and his home was always filled with a jamming tune. Corey took great pride in his appearance and shared his father's passion for weightlifting.

He is survived by his children: son Rush (Krista), daughter Aubrey Beckstead Williams, daughter Chevi Bre Beckstead, and daughter AriAnna Zoë Ruiz; grandchildren Sadie, Emery, September, Jordyn, Taylor, Kyle, Sadie, and Brennen; great-grandchildren Jahseh and Saint; siblings Kirt, Gavin, and Kim Beckstead; nephews Anthony, Dalton, and Beau; and nieces Jillia and Jessica. He was preceded in death by his mother Anita, father Gail (The Snake), Aunt Geniel (Gen the Hen), and Uncle Tony the Tiger.

He was loved and will be missed by all. Until we meet again, Dad. We love you.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 12:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah 84095. Viewing will be held from 11:00-11:45 am prior to services. Graveside services will be held at South Jordan City Cemetery, 10630 South 1055 West, South Jordan, Utah 84095.
