Bruce Beckstead Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Chapel & Cremation Center - Murray on Dec. 6, 2025.
Bruce Bryan Beckstead Jr., 54, of Salt Lake City, Utah, was born February 12, 1971 and passed away on December 3, 2025.

To go home to be with his father Bruce Beckstead Sr., sister Monica Beckstead, sister Marie Russell, we say goodbye to a man whose presence brought warmth, strength, and steady love into the lives of so many. Bruce was the kind of person who made you feel seen. He listened with his whole heart, offered comfort without judgment, and lifted others up simply by being there. To know him was to know loyalty, kindness, and the rare gift of someone who truly cared.

Bruce had an adventurous spirit and a soul deeply connected to the mountains and wild places of Utah. He was happiest with a fishing pole in hand, hiking boots on his feet, or sitting beside a crackling fire under a sky full of stars. The outdoors wasn't just a hobby for him, it was where he found peace, purpose, and joy. Those who shared those adventures with him will forever carry the echo of his laughter and the calm he brought to every moment. He worked as a FedEx driver and took great pride in the work he did, always showing up with dedication and a humble smile.

But Bruce's greatest devotion was to his family. His children Cody Beckstead, Alex Beckstead, Brayden Beckstead, and Kaylynn Beckstead, and his sister Surie Deann Vinzant and hanging out with his nephews and great nephews. They were the pride of his life and the reason behind his every effort. His love for them was deep, unwavering, and endlessly protective.

Bruce is also survived by his brother, Kelly Lankin, who shared a lifetime of memories, brotherhood, and unbreakable bond with him. His nieces and nephews will carry with them the stories, laughter, and life lessons he so freely gave. To them, he was not just an uncle, but a friend, a guide, and a steady presence they could always count on.

Bruce leaves behind a legacy of compassion, adventure, and quiet strength. He touched lives in ways he never fully realized, and his absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, only honored with love, memories, and the promise to carry his spirit forward. He will be deeply missed, remembered always, and loved forever.
