Taylor Forrest Pendley, 40, passed away peacefully on the morning of Thursday, September 4, 2025, after a courageous three-year battle with colon cancer. He was surrounded by love and lived a life marked by strength, devotion, and deep love for his family.

Taylor was born on October 3, 1984, in Orlando, Florida. He had a true passion for learning, always seeking to understand new things—especially the mysteries of how the universe works. Taylor also had a love for fast cars, exploring new restaurants, relaxing by the beach, listening to music, and going on any adventure life offered.

A devoted husband and father, Taylor’s greatest joy was his family. He loved nothing more than spending time with his wife, Suray, and their daughters—whether gathered for family movie, and game nights, cheering from the sidelines at volleyball practices and games, or simply being present in everyday moments. Together, they built a life centered on love, laughter, and family. His greatest wish was to fill his daughters’ lives with as much love, wisdom, and encouragement as he could. The love he poured into his family will forever remain at the heart of their lives.

Taylor will be remembered as a man with an extraordinary capacity for love, remarkable intelligence, charisma, and kindness. He had an amazing sense of humor that could light up any room and bring comfort, even in the most difficult times. His warmth and compassion left a lasting mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Taylor is survived by his loving wife of eleven years and soulmate, Suray Mendez-Pendley; his daughters, Adreana Mendez and Vivianna Mendez-Pendley; his father, Scott Pendley; his mother, Janice Pendley; his sister, Kaley Galinsky, and her husband, Andrew Galinsky; and their three children, Addison Galinsky, Merritt Galinsky, and Beckham Galinsky.

Taylor’s strength, kindness, and unwavering love touched everyone who knew him. His memory will continue to live on through the family and friends who loved him dearly. His life was a testament to resilience and devotion, and his presence will be profoundly missed. His love, devotion and laughter will remain a guiding light for his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Taylor fought with tremendous courage, strength and dignity. Cancer never defined him—his love did. His loss is deeply and profoundly felt by his wife, who will carry him in her heart always and forever.

Service Details

A service to honor Taylor’s life will be held at Highland Memory Gardens on September 19, 2025 at 11am located at 3329 E Semoran Blvd, Apopka, FL 32703.

Taylor’s service will be a celebration of his life. Since blue was his favorite color, feel free to wear your favorite shade of blue—or any color that lifts you up. Taylor was all about keeping things casual, so business casual is totally fine (especially in this Florida heat). No need for jackets unless that’s what you feel best in.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to help support his family at the link below.
