Mr. Ted Cox, age 83, of Springville, Tennessee passed away at his residence on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. His graveside funeral service is scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026 at Poplar Grove Cemetery, conducted by Charles Cate. Named as pallbearers are Chad Edwards, Felty Miller, Jason McDaniel, Michael McDaniel, Darryl Cherry, and Tommy Cherry; with honorary pallbearers, J.A. Cowell and Ray Teague. No public visitation is scheduled for Mr. Cox.
Ted Hill Cox was born May 28, 1942 in Henry County, Tennessee to the late Calvin B. Cox and the late Anna May Hill Cox. He married Sandra Ann Cherry Cox on December 21, 1963 and she survives in Paris. Ted is also survived by his sons, Sammy (Kim) Cox of Paris and Geoffrey (Becka) Cox of Auburn, Kentucky; by grandchildren, Wesley (Alex) Cox of Paris, Olivia (Tyler) Jones of Hopkinsville, Kentucky and Stephanie (Mike) Liebner of Fredericksburg, Virginia; by great-grandchildren, Ellet Cox and Quinn Cox; and by his sister, Ann Killebrew of Humbolt.
Besides his parents, Mr. Cox is also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Megan Cox and by his brother-in-law, Richard Killebrew.
Mr. Cox worked as a farmer and in the logging business. He was an avid fox and bird hunter. Ted truly enjoyed working with his horses on the farm and loved spending time with his family and friends.
