Ted Dailey, 79, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away at IU Methodist on November 11, 2025. He was born on October 11, 1946, to Homer and Louise Dailey. He graduated from Muncie Central in 1964. It is appropriate he received his "Angel Wings" on Veterans Day. Ted was a proud Marine and loved his country. He served his country for 3 tours in the Vietnam War and also received the Purple Heart.
Ted worked at Duffy Tool / U.S. Engineering, and most recently he drove a school bus for Blue River School Corporation for 15 years. He was an avid bowler and golfer at Maplewood Golf Course, where he loved golfing with all his buddies, especially the Monday Night League. Ted loved his furry best friend, Gus, and brought him ice cream or chicken nuggets at least once a week.
Ted is survived by his spouse of 51 years, Jo Ann Dailey (Bailey); brother, John "Bud"(Linda) Dailey; sister-in laws, Cherryll (Rick) Jennings and Donna Garrett; along with several nieces and nephews.
Ted will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He would do anything for anyone and was such a great guy. May he rest in peace.
There will be a Celebration of Life announced at a later date. Please keep checking for updates.
