Ted Eugene Goins was born December 8, 1931, entered his eternal home on November 10, 2025. Ted was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake City.
He was preceded by his parents Edward G and Bessie Goins and his son Barry Goins. Ted is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Rebecca (Becky Eldridge) Goins, brother Joe Marvin Goins and very close brother-in-law Ralph Belch. Ted is also survived by nephews Randy (Jenny) Martin and Bradon Belch. Nieces Andrea Norton (Randy), Anita O’Reilly (Kevin), Michelle Smith (Mike) and Trevenia Jones (Steve). Ted had multiple great nephews and nieces whom he adored.
Special friends who loved and supported Ted: Sue Dixon, Carol Carpenter, Audrey Mick, Barabara Stephens, Michael and Sharon Keys and Ted’s very special caregiver, Tina Duff.
Ted served in the US Navy from 1951- 1955 during the Koren War on the USS Sperry.
He retired as a butcher from Food City. After retirement he worked at Archer’s Food Center in Norris in the meat department.
Ted was a 50 year member of Valley Lodge 383 of Andersonville, Tennessee and also a 50 year member of Clinch Valley Chapter 369 Order of Eastern Star where he served as Worthy Parton several times. Ted enjoyed farming, woodworking and gabbing with friends and family on his back porch, and he never met a stranger.
Family will receive friends on Thursday November 13, 2025, at Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN from 12:00 – 2:00 pm with the graveside to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
