Ted Kline Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Stitzel Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc - Reading on Jan. 20, 2026.
Ted "Smiley" Kline, 63, of Bernville, passed away Friday, January 2nd, at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center.

Born December 7, 1962, in Reading, he was the son of Joan (Houck) Kline and the late Robert Kline.

Ted was a 1981 graduate of Tulpehocken High School. During his working years he was employed as a custodian at the Berks Career and Technology Center. In his free time Ted loved to go visit friends, old and new, just to see how they were doing. He spent time in the pit crew for Leinbach Motor Sports and many Fridays could be found at Green Dragon. Mowing the lawn was not just part of a job, it was a passion for Ted. He mowed many hours a day and was always smiling while riding on the lawn mower.

Surviving is one son, Jeremy Kline and one grandson, Abel Kline.

Also surviving is one sister Lorie (Kline) Zimmerman, wife of Ronald of Kutztown.

Ted was predeceased by a sister, Wendy J. (Kline) Dunkle (2024).

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to The Sanctuary at Haafsville (Dog and Cat rescue).

Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
