Ted DeWayne Wells

Ted DeWayne Wells, 82 of Ringgold, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023. He lived most of his life in Cohutta, Georgia and was a member of McGaughey Chapel Methodist Church. Ted Proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, and was a member of American Legion Post 112 in Dalton, Georgia, Cohutta Masonic Lodge #64, as well as the Dalton Shrine Club. In 2006 he retired from Shaw Industries and in his spare time he enjoyed wood working, fishing, and loved reading. In 2016 he married his high school sweet heart, Faye Hendrix Wells. Ted was a jack of all trades and could accomplish anything he set his mind on. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Faye Ogle Wells; parents, Shelly and Ruby Louise Howell Wells, brother, James Alvin Wells as well as many cousins. Ted is survived by his wife, Faye Hendrix Wells; son, Scott (Jennifer) Wells, bonus children, Tara Kestner and Craig McRae; sister, Shelia Wells (Danny) Tate; grandchildren, Ashton, Ethan, and Grayson Wells, and Meadow Kestner, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
