Tammy Louise Leatherwood Johnson age 67, of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away Monday, December 29, 2025. She was born in Daytona Beach, Florida to the late Kenneth Leatherwood and Evelyn McGregor Leatherwood Jarnagin. She was a former resident of Hollywood, Florida and had resided in the Northwest Georgia area for the past thirty-six years. She was of the Baptist faith. She had worked various jobs, cleaning hotels, working for Merry Maids and being a caregiver. She enjoyed being outside working in her yard, caring for animals. She also enjoyed painting and coloring. Along with her parents, she is preceded by her dear friend: Jeffrey Toney. She is survived by her children: Crystal Puryear of Rossville, GA, Michael Puryear of Chickamauga, GA, daughter-in-law: April Goodman of Rossville, GA, grandchildren: Katlyn Marsh, Lilyan Puryear, Elizabeth Puryear, great-grandchildren: Paris and Kaleah London, siblings: Mikey Brock, Stanley Jarnigan, Junior Jarnagin, Ronnie Jarnigan, Terry Leatherwood, Linda Rogers and Brenda Rogers, several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Tammy's life. Arrangements by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes – Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.
