To be laid to rest at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas
Survived by his devoted wife Diana and children Wendi Brott Rineer, Madilyn Madison, and Deborah Carter, as well as his bonus child Rondi Hayes (John Hayes), His sister-in-law Kay Carter, His grandchildren Sadie Brott, Megan Fehling (TJ Fehling), Zachary Brott, Alden Friend, and bonus grandchildren Morgan Stagg, Michelle, Elizabeth and William Barbieri. Great grandchildren Collins Fehling and bonus great grandchild Lucy Preceded in death by Malanie & A.A. Carter(parents), Donald Carter(brother), Eddie & Georgia Sadler(grandparents), M.R. & Jesse Carter(grandparents), and Nathan Carter (nephew).
Ted was a man who wore many different hats, but his favorite…submariner with the U.S Navy. He also owned a construction business, pastored religious congregations, managed several rental properties, worked in the oilfield for Mobile Pipeline and Honeywell. He was an avid self-educated student of the Holy Bible and enjoyed teaching others of his discoveries.
Anyone who knew Ted knew he could solve many a problem, rebuild/fix any engine or machine with moving parts. He loved inventing, tinkering and spending time in his shop. His curiosity was never ending. He found equal joy working in his garden, researching current events, diving into conspiracy theories, and exploring holistic living. Ted busied himself by building and flying his own airplane, building multiple homes for his family from the foundation to completion. He was self-taught on many levels, enjoyed learning and teaching others.
