Bud is survived by his sisters, Linda C. Midgett (Steve) of Sneads Ferry, Sherry C. Tipton (Parris) of Wilmington, Alice M. Curry of Sneads Ferry, and Angela C. Fleming (Jeff) of Sneads Ferry; nieces, Tina Caves (Scott), Jamie Wagoner-Jardine (Chris), Stephanie Camburn (Seth), Brandie Bajoo (Errol), Wendy Phillips (Phillip), and Crystal Chupa (Jason); nephews, Jerry Ennett, Christopher Benefield (Leah), Gene Phillips, and Anthony Bonanno; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Bud requested that contributions be made in his name to the Lower Cape Fear Lifecare Center, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28412.
A private burial will be held on a later date.
