Teodoro Morzenti, 83, passed away on April 26, 2023 mostly known as "Teo" was born in Cremona, Italy on June 11, 1933. He grew up and went to Civil Engineering school in Bergamo, Italy. Teo came to California in 1959 to McCloud, CA. He worked for the McCloud River Lumber Company. He started working for the California Division of Highways, later Cal Trans, on April 11, 1960 and remained employed until November of 2001. Assigned mostly as a Construction Inspector, his duties took him throughout the counties of Northeastern California. Modoc County was especially his favorite. Since 1963 he made his home in Shingletown, CA. Since 2007 he spent most of his time on a property in Richfield where he could garden year round.
Survivors include daughters Luisa and Julia with three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. After his 70th birthday Teo married Beth Quinones of the Philippines and with her he spent the rest of his life. There will be no funeral, as per Teo's wishes. His ashes hopefully will be placed on his beloved Lassen Peak. Teo was grateful to work in these beautiful surroundings with good people. To all of you who knew him; Thank you.

Teo is my god father. We went on many trips too the peak of lassen and picniced in the fields. He bought me my first suit and taught me a lot about work. I miss his cooking the smell of the wood stove and what ever gatherings he had found sitting on the counter and his joyful voice saying "very very good" rest in peace and God bless
