I will praise you with the strings – Ps 71.22
Teofil Lucaci has first seen the light of day on December 11th, 1965, in the city of Oradea, Bihor county, Romania; parents, the father Teodor Lucaci (living) and the mother Rozalia Lucaci (deceased), have joyfully received the third child in the family which will eventually count 16 children. On September 5th, 2014, Teofil married Gabriela Luiza Dinulescu, who is surviving him; in the list of those in the appropriate family who are surviving Teofil are his father, Teodor; brothers and sisters (with husbands or wives) are Marcelus (Maria), Daniel (Monica), Ovidiu Dorel, Tabita (Doru), Claudia, Rodica (Nicolae), Ligia (Vasile), Gabriel Alexandru (Lorena), Emanuela (Simon), Maria, Teodora (Daniel), Narcisa (Emanuel), Crina Ana (Andrei), Beniamin and Lavinia (Giovanni); the number of his nephews and nieces that survive him are 34.
Since a small child, Teofil has shown to be precocious in multiple areas; he was an excellent student, receiving several awards; after the first 8 years of school he went to Emanuel Gojdu Highschool in Oradea, being exceptional in mathematics and other fields, following that with University studies; however, his greatest love was music and especially playing the guitar; our Trubadour was what we called him, for hours on end he would be humming diverse melodies, him and his guitar; he excelled in this, getting to sing and play his guitar in different secular and religious ensembles, singing and playing in a way filled with dedication and passion; after finishing his military service he left Romania for better lands, reaching Austria where he stayed several months, and afterwards, in the fall of 1986 he stepped on the United States soil; after a relatively short period of living in Detroit, Michigan, he settled in Atlanta, Georgia, where he remained until the end of his earthly travels; in Atlanta he went through different professional occupations related to IT activity, including the position of Sales Director for one of these companies.
However, Teofil's greatest accomplishment was his ability to make and maintain relationships; he was a cordial person, always with a smile on his face and a warm and friendly saying; always ready to help with anything and everywhere he was called to, and if you asked of him he would have been ready to give you his shirt; his spiritual journey started as a small child, in the family, where he learned sound principles which were his guide to the end of his life; never forgetting to have a reverent attitude towards God, and the good deeds he performed with much love and dedication, will make his light shine in eternity!
Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, August 22, 2025, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
