Terence Cecil "Terry" Stade Sr.

Terence "Terry" Cecil Stade, Sr., age 84 of Lakeville, MN, passed away peacefully at his home on February 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Terry was born on October 17, 1941 in New Ulm, MN, the son of Cecil and Mabel (Bauermeister) Stade. Husband to his devoted wife, Frances "Fran" Stade. Father to nine children.

Throughout the first half of his life, Terry enjoyed farming, as well as raising and showing livestock. Terry was heavily involved with 4-H, FFA, MN Pork Producers and MN Duroc Breeders Association. Terry built a career at Northern States Power(NSP), starting as a janitor and retiring as Chief Engineer. After retirement, Terry fulfilled his love and passion for street rods. One of Terry's proudest moments was winning MSRA 2015 Street Rod Of The Year with his prized 1940 Ford Convertible. Terry served on the board for Minnesota Street Rod Association(MSRA) for six years.

Terry is survived by his wife, Fran; children, Ervin (Dianne) Stade, Brian (Tammy) Stade, Karen (Alan) Pearson, Cyndy (Richard) Milda, Terence (Heidi) Stade Jr., Tricia (Oldman) Lafferty, and Melinda Stade; brother, Doug (Shirley) Stade; step-son, Matthew (Heather) Oman; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren; nieces and nephew. Preceded in death by his parents; and daughters, Trace and Terri Lynn.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 6, 2026 at Lakewood Memorial Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis, MN: Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon. Interment Lakewood Cemetery, with a reception to follow.
