Teresa Giuseppina "Rita" Brusco

Teresa Giuseppina "Rita" Brusco, age 90, of Orange entered into rest on April 15, 2025, in CT Hospice. She is the devoted wife of 64 years to the late Joseph Brusco. Rita was born in Belmonte Calabro, Italy on Feb. 12, 1935; daughter of the late Giuseppe and Anna (Provenzano) Bruno. Rita moved with her husband to Florida from Fort Lee New Jersey in 1973, where they owned and operated Brusco's Italian Restaurant. Rita took pleasure in cooking and cleaning, but most of all she cherished the time she spent with family.
She is survived by her sister Rosina, daughter in law Elsa Brusco, her daughter Maria Osso (Nunzio), and five grandchildren Joseph Osso and Elisa Ilardi (Calogero), Sarah Brusco, Mia Brusco, Frankie Brusco and Sophia Brusco. She is also survived by two great grandchildren Eliana and Luca Ilardi, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Antonio "Tony" and Francesco "Frank" Brusco, two brothers, Massimo and Bonaventura and sister, Nicolina.
Friends may call on Saturday from 9:30 am am to 11:00 at Kraeer Kraeer Funeral Home and Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 200W Copans Rd. Pompano Beach, FL 33064. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 11:00 am for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 am at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 700 NE 36th St. Lighthouse Point, FL. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
