Teresa Michelle Capps, 47, of Charlotte passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville. Teresa was born on May 26, 1970 to Frank Capps and Bonnie Laxton Dowdle. She was preceded in death by her sister, Susan Capps. Teresa was a private person but loved the outdoors, especially flower gardening, and also enjoyed indoor housework. She was employed at Bojangles in Charlotte where she was loved by many customers.
Teresa is survived by her Father, Frank Capps and special friend, Nan Thomas; Mother, Bonnie Laxton Dowdle and husband, Dale Dowdle; Daughter, Brittany King and husband Brian; Brothers, Trey Capps and partner, Lisa Holt and Mike Capps and partner, Shelly Kelley; Grandchildren, Jacob Hill, Emmett King, and Natalie King; her very loving friend who became her angel, Derek Siler; and a special close friend, Tracie Williams and daughter, Morgan.
Funeral services to celebrate Teresa's life will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 12:00pm at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services, Mt. Holly with Pastor Lonnie Pittman officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Belmont.
