CASADEI, Teresa (nee Zanotti). August 5, 2025. Age 91. Beloved wife of the late Sebastiano. Loving mother of Robert (Adele), John (Michelle), Enzo (Julia) and Maria (David) Glod. Proud and adored grandmother of Marc (Heather), Jason (Kristen), Crystal (Ryan), Kyle (Ashley), Shayna (Steve), Jeremy, Benjamin, Jeffrey, Tessa, Justin and great-grandmother of Adelyn, Rocco, Luca, Sophia and Michael. Dear sister of the late Fede (the late Arturo), the late Raimondo (the late Louisa), the late Antonio (the late Nazzarena), the late Piero (Antoinette) and Mariola (Guido). Born into a loving family in the Republic of San Marino one where she adored her parents, Luigi and Maria, and all of her siblings. At the age of 20 she courageously decided to leave the country and culture that she loved. Armed with only a third grade education and not a single word of English she decided to emigrate to America and take on all the challenges that it presented to provide a better future for her family and all of her descendants.
In America, she pursued one of the passions that she loved in her life seamstress. And then she dedicated her life to raising her children with a foundation in the Catholic Church, an indescribable amount of food, and providing everything they could possibly want. She was an active volunteer with all of the churches she attended.
She was a proud member of the San Marino ladies auxiliary. She loved cooking for her family, sewing, playing cards with her friends at San Marino Club, spending time in her garden, and going to Mass. She deeply loved her husband, siblings, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren. She was grateful for the loving care she received from Mariola and Nawal. She was gentle, sweet and kind. She will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation Sunday 4-8pm with a 7pm Rosary at Wujek - Calcaterra & Sons Inc., (Shelby) 54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile Rd. Instate Monday from 9:30am until time of 10am Mass at St. Hugo of the Hills Church, 2215 Opdyke Rd, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Christ Child Society (Detroit). Private Entombment Guardian Angel Cemetery.
