We announce with sadness the loss of our beloved Teresa Lucania DiStefano: wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Teresa, born in Lercara Friddi, Sicily on September 12, 1933, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025 with her children at her side.

Teresa is preceded in death by her loving husband Frank DiStefano, parents Josephine and Jack Lucania, and brother Tony Lucania. Teresa is survived by her son Frank (Angie) DiStefano, daughter Pia (Andrea) Messineo, daughter Susan (Tom) May, brother Phil (Annette) Lucania and sister-in-law Carmela Lucania. Teresa grew up in Lercara Friddi, where she was a homemaker. In 1966, Teresa and Frank moved their family from Sicily to Chicago where they joined the rest of their family. Teresa enjoyed spending her time sewing, crocheting, cooking and spending time with her family.
