Teresa Thornton Horton, 66, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at her home surrounded by family.
Teresa was born on July 21, 1957 in Carthage, Mississippi to Becky Sue King and Tommy Thornton. She worked as a human resources communicator at TEC until her retirement in 2019.
She was a member of Pinelake Baptist Church in Flowood. In 2014, Teresa married Ricky Horton. She enjoyed traveling (especially to the beach), reading, watching NASCAR, exercising and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid Ole Miss fan.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tommy Thornton. Surviving her are her husband, Ricky Horton; mother, Sue Wilson; children, Heather Lee (Stewart) of Madison, Matt Davidson (Amber) of Miles City, Montana, and Nick Davidson (Holly) of Fort Smith, Arkansas; sisters, Rita Lee (Danny) of Starkville, Sherrie Matthews of Brandon, Tommie Rees (John) of Jackson, and Janet Robinson (Jimmy) of Bay St. Louis; as well as sixteen grandchildren.
A memorial service for Teresa will be held at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the time of service.
