Teresa Jane Tungate Hunt of Campbellsville, daughter of Rosa Johnson Tungate and the late Harry “Dickie” Tungate, was born September 1, 1973 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 11:59 P.M., Friday, November 7, 2025 in Greensburg. Age: 52
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Faith Alive Ministries.
Teresa graduated from Taylor County High School in 1991. She was primarily a homemaker and loved creating handmade crafts for her home. She was active in the lives of her family and church. She was always supportive and loving to everyone. She was known as an amazing cook, just ask Brandon about those mashed potatoes. She thoroughly enjoyed paint by number artwork for her home. She was also a wonderful daughter, sister, and aunt. She valued her family over everything except the Lord. She was a person of deep faith and had a love for sharing God’s word. She was a steadfast example of unconditional love for others and a prayer warrior who constantly prayed over her family and sought God’s guidance in everything she did.
She will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit who loved her family and found joy in the simple things that made life sweet-watching preaching, listening to gospel music, and watching The Beverly Hillbillies on TV because it reminded her of her family. Her kindness and giving nature will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
She united in marriage to Colane Hunt, who survives.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sisters: Amanda Greer and special friend, Chad Snider, Janetta Neely and husband, William, and Delena Bunch and husband, Doug of Columbia; her mother, Rosa Johnson Tungate, her fur baby, Ruger; and other nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Teresa was also preceded in death by her two grandmothers: Lou Ellar Downs Johnson and Minnie Johnson
