Teresa V. Marquez

Teresa V. Marquez, 91, a beloved mother and cherished member of the Pearsall community, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, in her hometown of Pearsall, Texas. Born on November 20, 1934, Teresa lived a life marked by devotion to her family and an unwavering commitment to her faith.

Teresa was born in Pearsall, where she also spent her final days. She was predeceased by her husband, Rodolfo Marquez, as well as her parents, Augustin Villarreal and Sophia Gonzales Villarreal. Teresa also mourns the loss of two sons, Willie Marquez and Rodolfo Marquez Jr., and grandson Oscar Villarreal Jr. who remain forever in the hearts of their family.

Her legacy continues through her loving children: Oscar Villarreal and his wife Adela, Chris Marquez and his wife Ida, Carlos Marquez, Mary Peña, Martin Marquez, and Danny Marquez and his wife LeaAnn. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. These children stand as a testament to Teresa’s nurturing and steadfast love, qualities that enriched their lives and the lives of many others.

Family, friends, and community members are invited to honor Teresa’s memory with a series of services to be held on March 30, 2026. The visitation will commence at 8:30 a.m. at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 203 E. Frio, Pearsall, Texas.  Following this, a rosary will be recited at the same location from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A Mass celebrating Teresa’s life will take place at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, located at 422 W Brazos St, Pearsall, beginning at 11:00 a.m. The final committal service and burial will be held at the VFW Cemetery on Radio Road, Pearsall, starting at noon.

Teresa V. Marquez’s life was a profound testament to resilience, faith, and the enduring strength of family bonds. Her passing leaves an indelible mark upon all who knew her, and her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her children, grandchildren and all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we remember Teresa, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the loving legacy she leaves behind.
