Teresa Jo Powers, 65, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away on May 21, 2025 at Circle of Life in Bentonville, Arkansas. Born on November 19, 1959 in Springdale, Arkansas to Wylie Moore and Mary Smith Moore both who precede her in death.
She was known for her dedication to children and her community of Springdale, which she dearly loved. Teresa was a Springdale Schools teacher where she dedicated 28 years of her life to the students of Lee Elementary. She also spent 20 years with the Springdale Fire Department as an EMT, volunteer firefighter and Secretary Treasurer. Teresa was a follower of Jesus Christ and attended First Christian Church, now Spring Creek Fellowship in Springdale.
Teresa is survived by her three children, Matthew Neagles, 38, of Bentonville, Arkansas; Marissa Santana, 35, and her husband Frank, of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Elizabeth Powers, 32, of Gainesville, Florida. She is survived by 5 grandchildren Suzanna; Abi, Lily, Jojo; and Leo. Her grandchildren were her light on a hill and her proudest accomplishment.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy in 2001
A memorial will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 10am at Sisco Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale.
