Teresa Romero De Melendrez Obituary
Teresa Romero de Melendrez 65, passed away Saturday December 13, 2025 in Mesquite NV. She was born October 18,1960 in Tepic, Nayarit to Ramiro and Caritina Romero.
She was raised in Mesquite Nevada since the age of 14. For 35 years she dedicated her professional life to the Virgin River casino, where she was not only a valued employee but also a friend to many. Teresa’s passions were as vibrant as her feisty personality; she found joy in crocheting, filling her home with warmth and handmade treasures. Her love for music and dance was infectious, and she often shared these passions with her family and friends, creating unforgettable memories. Above all, Teresa cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. Known for her delicious cooking, Teresa’s home was always open, and her feisty spirit made her a beloved figure to all who knew her.
She is survived by daughters, Lorena (Adan) Lemus, Imelda (Luis) Manjarrez and Susie (Michael) Sandoval, who will continue to honor her legacy through love and kindness.
She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Angel, Jenessa, Caliana, Nevaehly, Gabriel, Jaysie, Jax and Arielle, who will forever remember their grandmother’s warmth and laughter.
She is also survived by her sister, Mari White (Tyler Black) and brothers Juan Romero, Rudy Romero, Manuel (Michelle) Romero, Armando (Monica) Romero and Bird (Charlotte) Romero all of whom reside in Mesquite, NV and will miss her dearly.
Teresa is preceded in death by her parents, Ramiro and Caritina Romero, and her brothers, Jose Viera and Alfredo Romero, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.
There will be a viewing Friday, December 19 5pm-7pm at Star Mortuary 300 Riverside Road Mesquite, NV. 89027
The family invites all who knew and loved Teresa to join them in celebrating her life and sharing memories of a woman who touched so many hearts.
