Teresa “Terri” Anne Jones, 77, of Athens, passed away April 24, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Emmett and Victoria Abraham and was also preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Abraham (Carol).
Memorial service will be May 10, 2025, 3:00 PM, at Lord & Stephens, West Chapel, with Pastor Steve Stringham officiating. The family will receive visitors prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
She is survived by her husband, Scott Jones of 50 years, and her son, Chris Jones (Amie) and grandchildren, Chase and Gavin Jones, as well as her brother, Norman Abraham (Carol); sister, Kathryn Sharpe (Vaughn); nephew, Jay Abraham (Pam); niece, Joy Gannam (Roger); niece, Victoria Morton (Michael); niece, Nicole O’Mara (Stacy); nephew, Kevin Sharpe (Tiffany); nephew, Erik Sharpe (Corrine); nephew, Ray Shuford (Pattie); and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Terri was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. Here in Athens, she was an avid member of Cornerstone Church and enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. She was also the life of the party during karaoke! She loved supporting her grandchildren at their passions and activities - Gavin, who performs in community theatre at OCHS and The Stage Oconee - and Chase, who loves playing baseball and attending summer camps at Extra Special People. The family would like to send heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and caregivers at Family Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Family Hospice Foundation (homewithfamily.com), The Stage Oconee (thestageoconee.com), or Extra Special People (espyouandme.org).
