Teri Lyn Tamez, age 62 years, of New Market, Alabama was called home to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025 with her loving husband by her side.
Teri Lyn was born on May 18, 1962 in West Bend. Daughter of Ben Barr, Jr. and Caroline Barr (nee Riley). She was united in marriage to Gerardo Tamez on September 8, 2012.
Teri Lyn graduated from West Bend West High School in 1980. She earned her Associate degree from Moraine Park Techincal College. Teri Lyn bartended for many years in the Allenton area when she lived in Wisconsin. She also worked at Moraine Radio in West Bend as a bookkeeper. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed gardening, traveling, and cooking. Teri Lyn had a great love for her family and friends.
Those Teri Lyn leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Gerardo Tamez; son, Brock (Sarah) Baumgartner; step-sons, Anthony (Kelly) Tamez and Christopher (Ally) Tamez; siblings, Fred Kreis, Tina Kreis, Brenda (Randy) Simon, and Gail (Mike) Umbaugh; brother-in-laws, Jorge (Kelly) Tamez and Jaciel Tamez; sister-in-law, Leticia (David) Tamez; uncle, Gary (Lou Ann) Riley; and special cousin, Patsy (Larry) Beal; former husband, Steve Baumgartner; and grandpups, Levi and Jovie. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Teri Lyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Amber Baumgartner; son, Kent Baumgartner; sister, Debra Lee; nephew, Brian Lee; and brothers-in-law, Kenneth Lee and Jamie Reseburg.
VISITATION: Teri Lyn’s family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, April 28, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service – 1315 W Washington St. – West Bend, WI 53095.
SERVICE: A Funeral Service in remembrance of Teri Lyn will take place at 11:00 a.m on Monday at the funeral home with Dan Schroeder officiating, followed by a graveside service and burial at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.
Memorials in Teri Lyn’s name can be directed to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin or the Ronald McDonald House.
