Terra Ann Ragland, age 41, passed away leaving behind a legacy of strength, determination, and deep compassion for others. Terra approached life with extraordinary drive and resolve. She consistently challenged herself, often taking on what seemed impossible, not because it was easy, but because she was determined to grow, achieve, and master her goals.
Terra was committed to education and service. She attended the University of Vermont and was continuing her academic journey while working toward her master's degree at The Chicago School. Her professional life reflected her dedication to helping others. She served as an Overnight Residential Counseling Manager at the Turning Point Battered Women's Shelter, where her leadership, empathy, and steadfast support made a meaningful difference in the lives of those she served.
An accomplished student-athlete, Terra graduated from high school with two scholarships, including one for golf and one for academics. She chose to pursue her academic scholarship, reflecting her lifelong commitment to learning and personal development.
Terra was a devoted mother. She is survived by her beloved son, Paul Nangle Jr., age 17, who was the center of her world. She is also survived by her sister, Tiffany Haskins; her brother, Edward Ragland; her father, Christopher Ragland; and her mother, Tina Sanders. Terra shared a close and loving bond with her stepfather, Dan McCurdy, and was living with and helping care for her uncle, Mike McCurdy, at the time of her passing.
