Terrance Wayne "Terry" Popham, 71, of Strawn, Texas, peacefully departed this life on September 25, 2025. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Terry's wisdom and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A heartfelt Mass will take place on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 10 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, followed by burial at Mt. Marion Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest.

Born on November 14, 1953, in San Antonio, Texas, Terry was a beacon of love and support for his family. Terry attended high school at Converse Judson where he was a member of the Football and Track team and graduated in 1972 . After graduation he attended Southwest Texas State in San Marcos. He was united in marriage to his devoted wife, Lydia Laykin, in 1981 in New Jersey. Terry enjoyed a fulfilling career at Texas Building Products, where he was respected and admired by his colleagues. Above all, Terry cherished spending time with his family. A passionate bass fisherman and former member and President of the Palo Pinto County Bass Masters and an avid sports fan and statistician and clock keeper for the Strawn Greyhounds, he delighted in watching his children and grandchildren engage in their athletic pursuits. He was a member of the Strawn City Council for 14 years. His other interests included painting electric football men and playing dominoes with his domino gang, which brought him joy and camaraderie. He was fiercely competitive in all things.

Terry is survived by his beloved wife, Lydia Popham; two sons, Jake Popham and his wife Heidi, and Josh Popham; a daughter, Mandy McDaniel and her husband Bryan; and five cherished grandchildren, Laykin McDaniel, Blayne McDaniel, Slade Popham, Lyndie Popham, and Maci Popham. Terry is survived by his sister Chris Wright and husband Gene, sister Becky Johnson and husband Mark, brother Brian Popham and wife Gina, and sister Stacey Milanovich and husband Nick and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by the Hopkin's family that was like an adoptive family to Terry and his family. Terry's kind spirit and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and the importance of family connections. May he rest in peace.
