Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Terrell Williford, age 90, of Gibson, who died in Augusta at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center on Sunday, September 10, 2023.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 13, at 2:00 pm, at the Gibson Church of God with Rev. Stacy Williford officiating. Pallbearers will be Dennis Reese, Jay Williford, Stanley Williford, Robby Kelly, Steve Williford, and Les Lamb. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Williford was born in Louisville, a son of Hartwell Williford and Flora May Newsome Williford. He had served in the Army and was retired as a heavy equipment mechanic for Georgia DOT. He loved to hunt and fish but his favorite pastime was spending time with his family.
Mr. Williford was preceded in death by his parents and a son Allen Williford, brothers Walter Williford, Hilton Williford, J.W. Williford, Mervin Williford, and sisters Martha Lamb and Jeanette Jenkins.
He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-five years Helen Williford, a son Troy Williford (Jennifer) of Tennille, a daughter Connie Deane of Gibson, grandchildren Ashley Deane, Andrew Williford (Katie), Maegan Faglier (Coty), Abby Weber, Jeremiah Weber, and Jackson Weber, six great grandchildren and brother Wayne Williford (Mavis), sisters Catherine Norris (James), Wanda Curry (WL), Doris Glover (Olin), and several nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
The Williford family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
