Terrence M. Driscoll, "Terry", age 77, a long-time resident of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025, with his family at his side.
Terry was born on April 15, 1948, in Everett, MA; he was the dear son of the late Chester T. and Ruth E. (Small) Driscoll. Terry was raised and educated in Everett; he lost both parents by the age of 15 but with his brother and sister-in-law's love and guidance he went on to graduate from Everett High School.
Following graduation, Terry, was drafted into the United States Air Force in September of 1967, during the Vietnam War. Terry served actively and honorably until June of 1971 and earned the rank of Sargent; he was honorably discharged and continued to serve the country until September of 1973 with the Air Force Reserves.
Upon his return home, Terry, moved in with his brother and family in Wilmington with whom he was very close, he fit in well in his new community and met "his sweetheart" Patricia Juergens who lived right across the street. The couple started a great friendship and were soon inseparable; they married in 1972, bought their home in Wilmington and raised two beautiful children.
Terry was a hard worker throughout his life; he took a position as a mail handler for the United States Post Office. Terry had a great personality and always went out of his way to help others at work; he made many good friends at work throughout the years. Terry retired in 2010 following more than forty years of dedicated service to the Post Office.
In his spare time, Terry enjoyed polishing his cars, going to car shows, or heading out for a round of golf with his buddies. He loved a good corn hole tournament or a game of pool just for fun. Most of all he treasured the time he spent with his family and friends.
Terry will be fondly remembered as a wonderful family guy and a true friend to many; he was a man of great faith and an active communicant of St. Thomas Church in Wilmington for many years. Terry had a great smile and a kind word for everyone he met; he will forever live on in the hearts of those he loved.
Terry was the beloved husband of Patricia (Juergens) Driscoll, devoted father of Julianne Rogers and her husband Dana of Saugus, formerly of Swampscott and Jeffery Driscoll and his wife Kim of Watertown. Loving "Papa" of Sean, Lexi, Owen, and Kayla, dear brother of the late Timothy Driscoll, brother-in-law of Jackie Driscoll formerly of Wilmington, son-in-law of Jean and the late Larry Juergens of Stoneham, formerly of Wilmington, brother-in-law of Janice and Bob Quandt, Diane and Ray Lepore, Cathy and Wayne Crawford, Michael Juergens, the late Larry Juergens, Eric Juergens, and Brian Juergens. Terry is also survived by many special nieces, nephews, and their families.
Family and friends will gather for Visiting Hours at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, MA, on Wednesday, June 4th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. All are welcome to gather at the Funeral Home on Thursday, June 5th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, MA, at 10:30 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will take place in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington, MA.

My name is John Maguire. I worked with Terry for many years, knew him for a long time at work. I was a Union Chief Steward for several years, and had to deal with many grievances and issues between union members and management. Never was there any problem with Terry. He was always a happy go lucky guy and always upbeat. I'm sorry that I didn't know him aside from the USPS, but sure he was even happier outside the work area. I was saddened to learn of his passing, but glad he went peacefully surrounded by loved ones...... John Maguire
