Terrence R. Kelly

Terrence Raymond Kelly (Terry, Kels) passed away in his home in Piermont, NY, on September 29th, 2022. He was 62 years old.
Terry was born to Josephine (Schulz) and Raymond Kelly on September 6th, 1960 and grew up in his beloved Valley Cottage neighborhood. Terry was the youngest of six children and is survived by his siblings Raymond Kelly Jr. of Loudonville, NY, Barbara Meyer of Columbia, SC, and Theresa Ensminger of Johnson City, TN. He was predeceased in death by his parents, Josephine and Raymond Kelly, brother Michael Kelly and sister Kathleen Smith.
Terry was a three-sport varsity athlete, playing soccer, basketball and baseball at Albertus Magnus and graduated in 1978. Terry went on to play soccer at Mercy College and later coached the girls' Varsity soccer team at Albertus Magnus. Terry worked as a firefighter for the city of New York from 1989-2009 in the Bronx for Engine 62 Ladder 32 - the Gun Hill Gang. He loved his work and fellow firemen until the end of his life.
Terry is survived by his children Jacqueline Kelly (fiancé Daniel Many) and Timothy Kelly (m. Briana Martinez). He loved coaching Jackie and Timmy's soccer, baseball, and softball teams. Terry lived in Piermont, NY for the last twenty years. He loved walking the pier, fishing, being close to the Hudson River, and biking along the path behind his house. Terry had the biggest heart and could bring a smile to anyone's face, even on their worst day. He would drop anything at a moment's notice to help someone in need. He will be remembered as a loving father and friend.
Visiting hours will be on Monday, October 3rd, from 4-8pm at Joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home in West Nyack, NY. The funeral mass will be held at St. Paul's Church in Congers, NY on Tuesday, October 4th at 10am.
