Terri was preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Dixie Graca (Slater) and sister Carol.
Terri was a proud United States Navy Veteran. She was a dedicated teacher and substitute until she passed. She enjoyed being a Girl Scout Troop Leader and was a religion teacher in her younger years.
Terri absolutely loved all animals, enjoyed gardening, and traveling with her family and close friends. Her family described her as a very colorful person with an outgoing personality, and energetic spirit. Her favorite saying was, "Be Kind." She cherished time spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Terri was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will always be cherished and never forgotten.
The family will receive friends at Central Chapel, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL 60638 on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral Service Friday, May 16, 2025 with chapel prayers at 11:15 a.m. to St. Symphorosa Church, 62 and Austin Avenue in Chicago for a 12 Noon Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Justice. Per the family's request, for those attending the funeral services, please dress in bright colors to honor and celebrate Terri's life.

Teri's dedication and warmth touched the lives of many here at Burbank School Dist. 111 where she was a substitute teacher for the past 9 years. As a long-time sub, she brought stability and kindness to our classrooms and her presence will be missed. Her frequent travels were a source of inspiration, and I was always a bit jealous of her adventures.
Rest in peace friend.
