Terry Allen Barnes

Terry Allen Barnes, 64, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, August 24th, 2025, free from pain and sickness.

Terry was known as a beloved co-worker and friend. Extremely knowledgeable in his trade, Terry worked alongside his brother, Mike, over the past 46 years and helped establish a successful business at A. Barnes Fence Company in Chattanooga.

Terry and Sherrie Barnes made a life together with their four children being together for the past 40 years and married 30 years.

Terry is survived by his loving wife, Sherrie; brother, Mike; his sons: Cody (Melinda) Barnes, Jeffery (Jessica) Donelson, Jim Donelson, and Terry (Christina) Barnes; along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Terry will be remembered as a larger-than-life devoted son, brother, husband, and father who was very proud of his family including his grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Christopher, Kyle, Sabrina, Wyatt, Cheyenne, Chloe, Noa, Bella, Layla, MaKayla, Jazzmine, Terry, Hunter, Rhegan, Serinity, Jinx, and Nova. Terry's purpose in life was to provide love and comfort for those around him, and he succeeded tremendously.

Terry is now reunited in Heaven with his brother, Donnie; his sister, Cindy; his mother and father, Hattie and D.A.; and many more relatives who preceded him in death.

Romans 8:18 "Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later."

Visitation is 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025 and 12:00-1:00 pm on Thursday, September 4th, 2025 at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace. Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
