Terry Eugene Besancon, 73, of North Little Rock, passed away Friday, July 7, 2023. He was born December 22, 1949 in Little Rock to the late Eugene and Dorothy (Perry) Besancon. An Army veteran, Terry proudly served his country in Vietnam. As much as he loved his country, he loved his family more. A devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather (affectionally known as Pops), he found joy in spending time with his family. Terry and Regina enjoyed over 45 loving years together. As a father, he shared his love and knowledge of the outdoors with his sons during countless trips to deer camp and provided a strong example of how to be a kind and honorable man, as well as a devoted father and husband. As Pops, he was up for anything his grands wanted to do, even if it included being a personal jungle gym for active toddlers, participating in cheer chants and makeovers, or spending hours at the ballpark. Terry was quick to lovingly tease those he loved and lighten the mood, but was someone his family and friends could always call on for help, advice, and a fair and honest opinion. He was preceded in death by his son, Chad and grandson, Braylon.
Left to cherish the memories of Terry include his beloved wife, Regina and their family; Chad's wife, Misty, and their three children-Hunter, Ethan, and Hayley; son, Chris, his wife, Tracy, and their three children-Brittany, Tyler, and Chase; and son, Shane, his wife, Robin, and their two children-Kennedy and Bentley. He is also survived by brothers, Danny (Sharon) and Perry (Debbie) and extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 9:00 a.m., Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
