Terry Bowersox Obituary
Terry is survived by his wife, Joan (VanOosten) Bowersox; daughter, Berriann Bowersox; and granddaughter, Melissa Brown. He is also survived by Joan's children, Matt (Denise) Berry and their children, Spencer, Janson, Christian, and Allison; and Paul (Jason) Berry-Tornow. Additional survivors include his brother, Jerry; brother-in-law, Dan Hempker; sister-in-law, Marie Hempker; nieces and nephews, Tracey, Susan, Christian, Patrick, and Matthew; as well as the beloved family dog, Tikki.
Terry graduated from Kellogsville High School and later from the University of Michigan. He went on to build a successful career in commercial finance. He was a member of St. Robert of Newminster Church and previously served on the Board of Directors for the Ada Township Downtown Development Authority. Terry especially enjoyed spending time with Joan and Tikki.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at St. Robert of Newminster Church, 6477 Ada Dr. SE, Ada, MI 49301, with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Tony Russo presiding. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to San Juan Diego Academy, 1650 Godfrey Ave. SW, Wyoming, MI 49509.

I have good memories of the visits with Terry and Jerry that Doug and I had when I came to Grand Rapids for Sweet Adeline Regional contests in years past. Doug was so glad to reconnect with his cousins. Contests are in a different place now. It is hard to send condolences along with a wish for a Merry Christmas so remember the happy times and that Terry a special cousin and will be remembered. Doug's father (Harold Adams) died in December also.

You will be missed Uncle Terry! So many fond memories of you. The snowmobile you gave us created hours of fun when we were kids. You always had a bottomless bowl of M&M´s at your house for us! Dear Joan, Tori and I are so sorry to hear of your loss. Terry was a respected business colleague and a good friend. He had an endless supply of energy and a sharp mind with an amazing memory. We did several business deals together and met for breakfast often. We shared the idea that retirement is overrated. I am going miss him.
