Terry Wayne Cunningham

Mr. Terry Wayne Cunningham age 75, of Chapel Hill, TN, passed away on February 22, 2026 in Shelbyville, TN. Born on September 11, 1950, in Nashville, TN, he was the son of the late Edward Thurman Cunningham and Sarah Elizabeth King Cunningham. Terry is preceded in death by his siblings, Eddie Cunningham, Ronnie Cunningham, Kenny Cunningham, and Tony Cunningham. He was a member Eagleville Baptist Church.

Terry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He grew up spending time with his children and enjoying those special moments and bonds they created. Terry enjoyed playing his guitar, and he enjoyed working for RPP for 40 plus years. He was very thankful for the friendships and lifelong qualities this job has taught him. Terry took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren as well as spoiling them. Terry was a man who always made an impact on anyone he met and was always greeting you with a smile and his coffee. Terry enjoyed taking trips to the beach and spending time watching sports. His legacy will be remembered for generations to come.

Terry is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Katie Cunningham of Chapel Hill, TN; 4 children, Becky Cunninghams of Eagleville, TN, Chris (Heather) Cunningham of Unionville, TN, Charlie Cunningham of Unionville, TN, and Paisley Cunningham of Unionville, TN; step children, Tucker Jones and Madison Jones both of Unionville, TN; 3 grandchildren, Courtney (Alex) Stewart, Kyle Cunningham, and Cory Cunningham; 1 great grandchild, Lemon Stewart; a brother, Darrell Cunningham of Lynchburg, TN; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A visitation with the Cunningham family will be Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 4PM until 8PM. A funeral Service will take place Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 10AM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Ben Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky Glade Cemetery.

David Cunningham, Stephen Cunningham, Adam Cunningham, Danny Cunningham, Eric Cunningham, Jason Cunningham, and DJ Cunningham will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Cory and Kyle Cunningham.
