Terry Estes Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cremation Services of East Alabama, Inc. - Anniston on May 29, 2025.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terry Wayne Estes on May 26, 2025, at the age of 72. Terry was born on October 14, 1952 in Jacksonville, Alabama, to Furman and Mary Ella Estes.
Terry was well known for his love and support for his family, love of Auburn football, love of NASCAR, and Jif Peanut Butter. He is also known for his kindness and his ability to make people laugh. Most of all, he loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Terry met the love of his life, Debra Buttram Estes, while in high school. The couple were married for 54 years.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Furman and Mary Ella Estes, his brother, Carthel Estes, his sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice and Charles Burgess, Glenda and Wayne Wright, Mary and Carl Wilkins, Clayton Green, and Jim Black.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, Debra Estes, a daughter, Stacey (Greg) Wilkins, a son, Shane Estes, two sisters, Janie Black and Lila (Sidney) Parris, four grandchildren, Christian Lynch, Brittany (Shane) Young, J.C. (Carey) Tuerke, and Kaity Wilkinson. He is also survived by four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Emmanuel Holiness Church, 509 Oak Avenue NW, Jacksonville, Alabama, with the Reverend Michael Sanderson officiating.
Revelation 21:4: "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
A very special thank you to Southern New Beacon Hospice for being so wonderful, not only to our husband and dad, but to us, his family, as well.
