MUNCIE – Terry J. Gick, 71, passed away early Sunday morning, July 20, 2025 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
He was born on April 2, 1954 in Muncie, the son of William Willard Gick and Esther Elizabeth "Betty" (McNutt) Gick and graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1973. He married the love of his life, Vickie L. Walker on April 2, 1977 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Muncie.
Terry worked for Hillcroft for over 30 years until his retirement in September, 2013. He was a talented guitarist and played for many years with his band, "Rhymes with Orange." He loved music, especially the Beatles and The Moody Blues and enjoyed spending time with beloved cat, "Sassi Fras."
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Vickie L. Gick of Muncie; three children, Melissa Smith (husband, Clinton) of Muncie, Ian Gick of Muncie and Zachary Gick of Chicago, IL; three grandchildren, Jazlyn Gick, Ayden Smith and Layla Smith; one sister, Mary Ward (husband, Bruce) of Muncie; and two brothers-in-law, Marty Walker and Jerry Walker, both of Muncie.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Gick; his mother, Betty Wright; step-father, William "Bill" Wright; father and mother-in-law, John and Carolyn Walker; and two brothers, Lester Gary Gick and Ronnie Gick.
Per Terry's wishes, there will be no services and cremation will take place.
