Terry was born in Abilene, TX to Neil and Reta Faye Goodman on October 12, 1957. He graduated from Eula High School in 1976. He married his high school sweetheart Rebecca K. Pierce on January 14, 1977 at the Hamby Baptist Church. Together they welcomed 3 children Cory, Cody and Ashley Goodman. Terry established and was the owner of Heart Land Petroleum, Heart Land Drilling, and Heart Land Trucking for 40 years.
A devoted man of God, a loving husband, a cherished father and a proud “Papa.” He was a man that led his family with love and compassion, teaching them to value the important things in life and to have a strong foundation with God. To say Terry was a good man would be an understatement. Everyone that knew Terry would agree he was a man of great character and a man of his word. Never will you meet a man who more faithfully lived his values. A man of faith who showed reverence and firmly believed in the Lord. He will be remembered for his generous heart, sense of humor and quick wits. Terry’s absence will be profoundly felt by all those who were blessed to know and love him.
He is survived by his wife Rebecca K. Goodman, his children Cory Goodman, Cody Goodman and wife Janis, Ashley Goodman, Father Neil Goodman, Brother Brad Goodman and wife Christy, and 8 Grandchildren Paige, Pree, Vaden, Kailey, Addy, Laken, Sophie, and Crew.
He is preceded in death by his mother Reta Faye Goodman and his sister Tonya C’ne Adams.
